An
academician, with an innate urge to carry out research and encourage to
propel STEM students and young professionals towards sustainable and
research-oriented technological understanding. A self-motivated maritime
professional having more than 20 years of experience in Shipbuilding and
maritime economics, ocean-wave mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Motion, and
Stability of floating bodies, Ship Recycling, Marine Pollution, and Energy
Efficiency Design. After successfully completing my Ph.D. from the Yokohama
National University of Japan in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, I
joined the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) as a
faculty member and am currently serving as a Professor at BUET. I have also
served as a Visiting Professor for Ecole De Nantes, France, and am currently
also serving as an Adjunct Faculty for the Military Institute of Science and
Technology (MIST), Bangladesh, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime
University (BSMRMU), Bangladesh. Apart from my experiences in teaching and
research, I have also served as a Technical Consultant for several national
and foreign projects in supervising them and my key research concentration is
based on the fields of fluid mechanics and hydrodynamics, hydrostatics, and
stability, maritime economics and transportation and marine renewable energy. |
